Many farmers find it difficult to predict what produce they should bring to the farmers market and get caught up in the details of selling, rather than raising their crops.
Your investment in our CSA program allows us to focus on growing the best crop at harvest and producing fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the seasons.
By pre-selling our CSA farm shares we are better able to plan and in return, our farm is able to provide high-quality produce at a discounted rate to our members.

At Norman’s Farm Market, we believe in reducing food waste while making a positive impact on our community. Through our Farm to Folks Zero Waste initiative, we partner with local non-profit and volunteer organizations to ensure that our surplus produce finds its way to those who need it most.
Every day, dedicated teams from these organizations pick up fresh donations from our market, delivering them directly to individuals and families in need. By doing so, we aim to minimize waste, support food security, and contribute to a sustainable, community-focused food system.
This initiative wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and commitment of our community partners, who share our vision of making fresh, nutritious food accessible to everyone. Together, we’re helping to create a world where no good food goes to waste.

Our 28-week CSA subscriptions are sold out for the season, however, our flexible weekly CSA option, where customers can purchase a one-time CSA at any time by just stopping by and paying on the spot is now available! Stop by one of our 4 CSA locations listed below and pick your share.

Policies and Etiquette
28-WEEK MEMBERSHIP POLICIES
The founding principle of a CSA is to promote a balanced and reciprocal relationship between farmers and members. Our members that sign up for Peak Season may benefit from the advantage of discounts, special offers and premium selection with cream of the crop quality. The farmer’s responsibility is to produce, harvest, pack and distribute while the member’s commitment requires attendance to claim shares. Fruits and vegetables are perishable and we try our best to find a home for our surplus in supporting food banks and other organizations with donations before they spoil. Oftentimes surplus produce and unclaimed shares may end up as compost unfortunately. For this reason, we are counting on members to be consistent and reliable. It is expected that members claim their shares within the designated season.
CSA members always have the option to pick up their share at any CSA location during the week without prior notice. They may even pick up multiple shares in the same week. Doubling is permitted as long as it doesn’t interfere with other member’s selection. We recommend coming in the last 30 minutes to double. Members may also send a friend or neighbor to pick up their share.
If these options don’t work for you, we allow up to two shares worth of gift card credit at 75% of the weekly share value. Requests for gift card credit must be emailed to info@normansfarmmarket.com before the end of the peak season.
In the rare event of a cancellation due to extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances, CSA members can pick up their share at another location during that week, or Norman’s will add an extra week in your Per Diem account that can be picked up at any time after the conclusion of the peak 28-week season. (Note: The CSA schedule changes to weekends only following the peak season, but members will have the flexibility to pick up any weekend at their convenience.)

While we do not offer any cash refunds, we can issue a credit of 75% value for any remaining shares to a Square gift card that may be used in-person at our stands, or at our online store. Members also have the option of transferring their CSA subscription to a new member. Please contact us at info@normansfarmmarket.com.
28-week season members receive a special discount on produce. Discount code via Per Diem at beginning of season and is reserved for 28-week members only. Notify the cashier at the stand so they can verify. Current members only.
We want all of our CSA members to enjoy our market-style CSA, so we have compiled this list to ensure everyone has a great experience.
- CSA Hours: Our CSA hours are set prior to the beginning of the season. We ask that members come to the CSA during the posted hours, although we are often set up a bit earlier for our early birds.
- BYOB! Bring your own bag: Please bring a bag or box to each CSA pickup – our members choose their own produce, so this will help you collect and carry your produce each week.
- Please do not overfill your baskets: In order to ensure that all of our members have access to the same selection of produce, we kindly ask that members do not take more produce than will fit in their baskets and do not select extra picks of pre-portioned items. We reserve the right to charge members that take more than their share of produce at their CSA pickup.
- Handling/switching produce: All produce will be carefully displayed on our tables; please do not “over” handle produce before selecting items. Produce should also not be switched with other selections on the same table (i.e. please do not create your own pint of cherry tomatoes by taking from other pints).
- Handle with Care: When filling baskets with produce please be sure to handle with care to avoid damaging and bruising. Also try not to place your baskets on top of the crates of produce – this will damage items such as tomatoes and peaches, causing bruising.
- Returning baskets: Please return your tan and red baskets after selecting your produce. If you accidentally take one home, please bring it back the following week.
- Doubling on Items. We want everyone to have access to the same selection whether they arrive early or late, so please no doubling of any pre-portioned items. Kindly ask at pickup if exceptions can be made – if we have extra produce, we will accommodate.
- Selling additional produce at the CSA. Please ask about the availability for purchasing additional produce at the CSA. We need to make sure we have enough for all members but we do try to bring extra items to sell.
- No CSA pickups at our roadside stands: While members can pick up their CSA shares at any of our four CSA pickups during the week, there are no CSA pickups at our Jones Mill & Mass Ave stands.

Yes, one of the most distinguishing features of our CSA Program is that you choose what goes into your produce box.
Each week we bring the entire selection of fruits and vegetables available from not just our farm, but our neighboring farms and orchards as well. We portion and display everything into three stations, and let you choose your own produce based on the size of your farm share. Our stations have anywhere from 30 to 50 items to choose from. A small share selects 6 to 8 items; a large share selects 12 to 15 items, and a jumbo share selects a combination of the two.
No worries. You can miss a week and make up with two produce boxes another week. Doing a double share during a week you are having a dinner party, for example, works perfectly! If you are missing more than one week, we suggest you have a friend pick up your second week. This is a great way to introduce new people to the CSA program (and help you earn a referral fee!)
We understand that the weeks are busy, so we try to be as flexible as possible. You can come to any CSA program pickup during the week without notice.
Norman’s Farm uses integrated pest management, (IPM) to provide you with the highest quality and safest food possible. We are not an “organic” farm, although we employ many organic methods.
Our crops are protected from insect and fungus problems by using primarily organically approved spray materials. We cannot claim to be organic, in part, because some of the fertilizers applied through the irrigation system are not available in “organic form.” We try and minimize the need for spraying by selecting varieties with the highest disease resistance, and by monitoring our fields, applying pesticides only when necessary.
It has always been our policy to use organic options whenever possible and we are always looking to adopt new and safer practices. Our aim is to provide you with the best quality and safest food that we can possibly produce.
