Farm Update

The week when June turns to July is always a big one for us here. Fourth of July is always something of a checkpoint in the market season where we can stop and look back on the six weeks leading up to this. Our energy is always on the go, but this moment to sit back, grill, and watch fireworks after the hot sun sets reminds us what this it’s all about…

The farm is churning out our favorite midsummer veggies, and the stands are stocked full of these hearty and vibrant harvests.

Soon, our tomatoes will be coming in. There will be juicy red beefsteaks and colorful heirloom tomatoes, each one unique and delicious.
Zucchini (gold and green) are also coming in beautifully. They are a great size and extremely fresh, perfect for throwing on the grill this weekend.
Our garlic harvest is one for the books. Fresh spring garlic for all!
Sweet onions are also soaking up and loving all this time in the sun. Fresh sweet onions that have not been cured yet have a sweeter and milder taste.
Beautiful eggplants of all different varieties are also now fresh from our farm. We have graffiti eggplants to the bite-sized fairytale eggplants.
One of our staff’s favorites: Norman’s green beans! These are so fresh, they stick to your shirt. These are amazing when enjoyed slightly cooked or eaten raw.
