Peaches Soaked in Wine (2 Ways!)

Savor the best of summer’s peaches ~ soaked in your choice of red or white wine, a touch of sugar, and few dashes of lemon juice.

These treats are the perfect end-of-summer dessert to pair with vanilla ice cream or just eat them straight out of the jar with a fork! You can also use the peaches as a delicious base for sangria, or mix the peach/wine syrup with prosescco for a fruity and tasty drink!

Ingredients:

  • 6-8 yellow or white peaches (peeled, sliced)
  • 2 tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
  • 2-3 cups of red or white wine (or more wine if needed, such as pinot noir & pinot grigio)

Directions:

  1. In a large jar with a lid, add your sliced peaches. Pour in the sugar, lemon juice, and wine. Make sure there is enough wine to cover all the peaches entirely. Seal tightly with lid and allow to sit in the fridge for at least two hours.
  2. Serve by grabbing the peaches with a fork and adding to a bowl with a scoop of ice cream .
