Weekly Blog – Hannukah

We hope you all had a restful and relaxing Thanksgiving break! This week, we’re all finishing up our Thanksgiving leftovers, and some of us are moving right on to celebrating Hannukah without skipping a beat. It’s always lovely when the Winter CSA overlaps with Hannukah, and we can share family recipes and traditions with members. Whether it’s making latkes, baking, or telling stories, we love to hear the different ways our CSA families celebrate.

This past weekend, we had a great party at our farm where we listened to (and joined in on) live music by the local band Poverty Ridge. We enjoyed dazzling fireworks, sipped on beverages supplied by Waradaca Brewery, and ate delicious Hard Rock Cafe chili, keeping us warm through the night. Of course, we finished that all off with s’mores by the fire. It was a night of appreciating the fabulous local vendors and our loving community of friends that we’re lucky to have while also giving big cheers to the end of the produce year. What a great one this was, and we’re ready for the next one to be even better.

We’ve already reached the halfway point of our Winter CSA, the temperatures are dropping at night, and we’re gearing up for the next CSA season, which will be starting in April. Make sure to take advantage of our discounted pricing while it still lasts. CSA memberships or Norman’s gift cards make fantastic gifts for the foodies in your life!

Join us on December 23rd for our Holiday Pop-up Market at Westland Middle School from 11 am – 1 pm!
