What’s cropping up at the farm this week?

Things are kicking into full gear at the farm in Woodbine, and we are happily taking all we can get from it. The sun is working harder than it has all year so far, and the strawberries have finally matured. Allow us to introduce to you Norman’s own farm fresh strawberries, coming straight from Howard County, MD. It took some time, but the wait for these strawberries was definitely worth it. Our variety is called Earligrow: a June berry which takes on a perfectly small and round shape. They are sweet and absolutely bursting at the brims with that unforgettably summer-like flavor.

Keep a close eye out for our blackberries and raspberries which are expected to come in very soon.

Our other main superstar at the farm this week is the baby spring mix. In our baby spring mix bag, you can find small Tuscan kales, arugula, spinach, beet greens, mizuna, baby chard, mustard greens, and other lettuces. It’s coming in consistently right now and we are enjoying the nightly salads with these super hearty and tasty greens. All they really need is a drizzle of some olive oil and a pinch of salt to bring out their bright and fresh flavor.
