Where is the produce coming from right now?

One of the biggest plus sides to shopping at a farm stand versus a grocery store is the ability to trace your food back to the farm where it was grown and harvested. Along with picking from our own farm in Woodbine, MD, we source from local farmers across the east coast. Right now, we have some beautiful produce coming in. Their origins are ranging from a few states away, to just a few miles down the road from us in Montgomery County.

Here is a current list of where some of our more popular items are coming from:

  • Peaches, plums, and melons are all coming from Georgia. We still have some time here in Maryland before our local peaches start being harvested. So until then, let’s enjoy these gems from down south!
  • Cucumbers, snow peas, sugar snap peas, rhubarb, and mushrooms are coming to us from Pennsylvania farmers. Make sure to take advantage of rhubarb season while it’s still here!
  • Bok choy, beets, kale, lettuces, strawberries, napa cabbage, swiss chard, and the honey is coming from our very own rolling green hills up in Woodbine, Maryland!
